The construction of the Réseau Express Métropolitain (REM) is making progress across the West Island, where it is projected that all launching gantries will be completed in the next coming weeks across the Western sector. As a result, these launching gantries will complete the 13.5 kms of the aerial structure. The completion of the launching gantries across the West Island is an important milestone within this project, which began 2 years earlier.

The construction of the Anse-à-l'Orme and Fairview Pointe Claire stations continues, as escalators and curtain walls are being installed. The curtain walls, including the roof, will be completed by the end of this year. The exterior finishing on the platforms of both stations is also underway, with an expected completion by March 2022. The interior work, including plumbing, electrical, ceramics will begin next year.
