From land to water, the construction site is transforming the landscape day by day. With over 15 cranes and 31 barges currently at work (soon to be 41), the action never stops—even during the construction holidays!
🔩 All 233 foundation piles are now anchored in bedrock
🏗️ 18 of the 46 piers are completed
🏁 Abutments on the Senneville side are done
🔧 Over 100 steel girders are in place, with 845 to be installed in total
🛣️ Highway 40 reconfiguration is ongoing to connect with the new structure
❓Wondering why the girders look curved?
That’s intentional! It’s a technique called cambering—a smart engineering move that ensures strength, longevity, and a flawless road surface once the concrete deck is added.
⛵ Attention boaters!
Stay safe around the site:
• Slow down (no wake)
• Navigate only within buoy-marked channels
• Keep a safe distance from barges
• Respect posted signage
• Be courteous to workers and fellow boaters
💬 Construction continues around the clock to bring you a safer, more efficient bridge. Thanks for staying alert and driving responsibly near the site!
