Nominations are now open for the 2026 Macdonald Gold Key Awards, which recognize students at McGill University’s Macdonald Campus who demonstrate outstanding leadership and commitment to student life.
The annual award celebrates students who have made significant contributions to the campus community through their involvement in extracurricular activities. Students, faculty, staff, and alumni are encouraged to nominate individuals who embody strong leadership and a dedication to enhancing campus life.
The Gold Key Award highlights students who play an active role in promoting and developing activities that benefit the broader Macdonald Campus community. The selection process evaluates nominees based on the impact and consistency of their involvement, their leadership abilities, their collaboration with peers, and the long-term value of the initiatives they help create.
To be eligible, nominees must be currently registered students who have studied at Macdonald Campus for at least one year and are in good academic standing. Students cannot nominate themselves; nominations must be submitted by a member of the campus community, including employees, fellow students, or alumni. Multiple nominations may be submitted.
All eligible nominations will be reviewed by the Gold Key Awards Committee.
The Macdonald Stewart Foundation provides generous support for the awards program.
Nominations are open from March 5 to March 22, 2026.
Recipients will be honoured during the Macdonald Scholarship Reception, scheduled for April 14, 2026, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Ceilidh on Macdonald Campus. The event will recognize the award winners and celebrate their contributions to campus life.
