🦅 New nesting boxes for peregrine falcons have been installed under the existing Île-aux-Tourtes Bridge.

These nesting boxes were designed to recreate conditions similar to the birds’ natural habitat. The interior features a flat surface covered with gravel, a material preferred by the species for nesting. Installed at height, the boxes mimic cliff environments, and their design prevents water from accumulating inside the nest.
A new feature has also been added: a platform at the entrance of the nesting box. This provides additional space for perching, especially when young falcons are present and learning to fly, improving both comfort and safety.
