The Société de transport de Montréal (STM) is preparing to introduce a redesigned bus network aimed at simplifying routes and improving connections with the Réseau express métropolitain (REM), which is expected to begin operating in **spring 2026**.
As part of the preparation for these upcoming changes, residents can explore how the new network will work by using the STM’s Route Simulator**, an online tool that allows users to review updated bus lines, routes, and connections under the proposed system.
To help inform the public and answer questions about the redesign, the STM is also organizing a series of information sessions and community activities.
One such event will take place on March 11 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Pointe-Claire City Hall**, where residents will have the opportunity to learn more about the new network, speak with STM representatives, and better understand how the changes may affect their daily travel.

Ride fares can be all over the place. A guy I know takes cars to work daily since downtown parking is insane and evening traffic is a nightmare. Last week he took a short trip, barely any cars on the road. When the ride ended, the fare showed up almost double what he normally pays. He kept staring at the receipt, refreshing it, trying to spot where the extra charges snuck in. Couldn't make sense of it. That night he went looking for lyft customer service to ask about fare adjustments and get a breakdown of his payment details.
