✈️ Air Canada plane leaves runway after landing at Montreal-Trudeau Airport

An Air Canada flight arriving from Los Angeles left the runway after landing at Montréal–Trudeau International Airport (YUL) on Thursday afternoon, coming to a stop on a grassy area.

According to Air Canada, the aircraft landed safely before exiting the taxiway. Thankfully, no injuries were reported among the 156 passengers and six crew members on board.

As a result of the incident, the airport temporarily closed its North Runway to allow for the safe evacuation of passengers. The closure has caused flight delays and cancellations, and travellers are encouraged to check the status of their flights before heading to the airport.

More updates will be shared as they become available.
