The City of Pointe-Claire is inviting young residents to apply for its Youth Advisory Board for the upcoming one-year term running from September 2026 to August 2027.
The board provides an opportunity for local youth to share their perspectives and help shape initiatives that affect young people in the community. Through their participation, members can contribute ideas to enhance activities, public spaces, and events designed for youth while gaining valuable leadership and volunteer experience.
Participants will also have the chance to work alongside other engaged young residents and develop skills such as teamwork, communication, and confidence. Recommendations made by the Youth Advisory Board are presented to City Council and can influence future municipal decisions.
About the Youth Advisory Board
The committee is made up of 10 volunteers between the ages of 14 and 21 who live in Pointe-Claire. Members collaborate to provide suggestions to the City on ways to improve youth programs, services, and events, as well as to help optimize municipal facilities and infrastructure used by young people.
The board is supported by a municipal councillor, City staff members, and a school representative.
