Building an Online Community with the Wisdom Exchange Project

The Wisdom Exchange Project connects graduate students and postdoctoral researchers with older adults in Quebec for friendly conversations on the phone or via video chat. The program seeks to build an online community for intergenerational friendships and social engagement during this period of social isolation (and beyond). A second aspect of their program is that they will be hosting knowledge translation presentations on brain health by students and faculty members who will be invited to share their research. The goal of these presentations is to translate knowledge on brain health research to community members interested in learning more about healthy, active brain aging. The Wisdom Exchange Project will also provide the space for older adult members to share their experiences during these seminars.
