Workplace Accident in Dorval: Man Crushed by Falling Tree
A man in his 50s was seriously injured Wednesday morning when a tree fell on him while he was working in the backyard of a private residence in Dorval.
The incident occurred around 10:40 a.m. on Brookhaven Avenue, near Carson Avenue, according to the Montreal police (SPVM).
First responders found the man with “significant injuries to his body.” He was rushed to hospital unconscious, and authorities are awaiting an update on his condition.
Because this is considered a workplace accident, the SPVM is assisting investigators from Quebec’s workplace safety board (CNESST).
