Pointe-Claire natives Alexandre Chevrier and Jason Lauzon-Seguin are living out a childhood dream as they join the Montreal Alouettes of the Canadian Football League.
Chevrier was drafted by the Saskatchewan Roughriders in the seventh round of the 2017 CFL draft, 55th overall. He would suit up in 34 games for Saskatchewan across two seasons. After becoming a free agent in 2021, he signed with The Alouettes on Feb. 10.
Lauzon-Seguin was drafted by the Ottawa Redblacks in the first round of the 2016 CFL draft, seventh overall. After playing four seasons in Ottawa, he became a free agent in 2021. Like Chevrier, he decided to sign with the Alouettes on Feb. 10.
