In an exciting development, Héma-Québec has announced a new partnership with CIUSSS de l'Estrie–CHUS, CIUSSS de la Mauricie-et-du-Centre-du-Québec, and CHU de Québec–Université Laval. This collaboration aims to enhance the process of human tissue donation by appointing local coordinators within each institution.
These coordinators will be tasked with identifying potential donors, facilitating referrals to Héma-Québec, and liaising with families of deceased individuals. The ultimate goal is to increase donation opportunities and improve the supply and quality of tissue donations in Québec.
