Free Presentation at Dorval Library: Learning about animals in Art

From the earliest drawings on cave walls, animals have been an inspiration for art. Artists have used them factually, symbolically, with great creativity and inventiveness. Depictions of animals in art reveal much about the time that they were created.

On Wednesday, November 24, from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., the Dorval Library will host art historian Ersy Contogouris for a fascinating visual lecture to re-discover art through animals:

Les animaux dans l’art.

This free presentation will be in French, with a bilingual question period. Participants may choose to attend in person (reserved for library members) or via Zoom (open to all). Advance registration is required.
