Dorval HHW, ICT Waste, and Polystyrene Drop-off on April 17

The City of Dorval is organizing an environmental drop-off in order to collect household hazardous waste (HHW), information and communications technologies (ICT) waste, and polystyrene articles (plastic number 6) on Saturday, April 17, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., in the parking lot of Ballantyne Park (520 Bouchard Boulevard).

Dorval residents will therefore be able to drop off any ICT waste (computers, screens, printers, televisions, radios, cellphones, and so forth), HHW (paint, oils, antifreeze, aerosols, and so forth), and polystyrene items (in the form of foam or hard plastic, coloured or transparent) at the same location.

Only domestic waste will be accepted at the collection. Waste from industries, businesses, and institutions will be refused.

Note that special measures related to COVID-19 will be put in place. Citizens will have to, among other things:

  • Place their items in the trunk of their vehicle before coming to the site and make sure that the products are well organized (not in bulk), in airtight containers, separated from each other

(WARNING: Pool chlorine must absolutely be separated from the other products).

  • Turn off the vehicle’s engine and open the trunk, in order for the employees to take out the products.

  • Stay in their vehicle. If information must be given to the employees, it will need to be done from within the vehicle. If a citizen must absolutely get out of his vehicle, they must wear a mask and respect the 2-metre physical distancing.

ICT waste will be collected by EPRA-Québec’s Recycle My Electronics program. For the complete list of accepted HHW and electronics, visit

Through this pickup, the City of Dorval can, in a safe and responsible way, dispose of waste materials, which take up more and more space in landfill sites.
