As we head into 2022 and take our Christmas decorations down until next year, you may be wondering how to dispose of your natural Christmas tree safely.

It may come as a surprise, but disposing of natural Christmas trees incorrectly can lead to unnecessary ecological damage. Thankfully, the city of Beaconsfield is offering a variety of solutions to safely dispose of your holiday decor.

Bring your tree to the Public Works Waste Drop-off Site, located at 300 Beaurepaire, during opening hours.

  • During the month of January, bring your tree to the designated area at one of the parks listed below.

  • Keep your tree in your backyard until the spring branch collection.

  • Please note that branches and Christmas trees will not be picked up during the regular garbage collection. It is forbidden to place them at the curb during winter.

Below is a complete list of parks that are facilitating Christmas tree drop off:

Beacon Hill

Beaconsfield Heights

Briarwood

Christmas Memorial

Drummond

Montrose

Rockhill

Shannon

Taywood
