For the hundreds of guests who gathered at Brasserie Le Manoir in Pointe-Claire this week, breakfast was about much more than eggs, coffee, and conversation. It was about community.
In a remarkable show of generosity, Brasserie Le Manoir once again opened its doors and provided breakfast free of charge for approximately 300 guests attending the CLSC Foundation Lac St-Louis Pierrefonds' annual fundraising event. The contribution helped the Foundation achieve a record-breaking fundraising total of $61,175, with proceeds going directly toward assisting vulnerable West Island residents.
Held at the iconic Pointe-Claire establishment, the annual breakfast has become a much-anticipated community tradition. By donating the venue, staff support, and meals, Le Manoir allows the Foundation to maximize the impact of every ticket sold, raffle purchased, and sponsorship dollar raised.

“We are always beyond grateful to Le Manoir for hosting us each year,” said Foundation President Kim Fata. “The money collected from ticket sales, raffle sales and from our sponsors at this event goes directly back into our community.”
The CLSC Foundation Lac St-Louis Pierrefonds provides last-resort financial assistance to individuals and families facing hardship throughout the West Island. Assistance requests come directly from front-line CLSC workers, including social workers, nurses, and therapists, ensuring support reaches those who need it most. According to the Foundation, 97 per cent of all funds raised go directly to helping vulnerable community members.
Mayor John Belvedere of Pointe-Claire was among those attending and was pleased to see another strong turnout at one of the city's most recognizable gathering places.
While Le Manoir's generosity provided the foundation for the event's success, dozens of community-minded businesses, organizations, and donors also stepped forward to support the cause. Major sponsors included RBC Wealth Management Dominion Securities, Rainville Family Wealth Management, Fondation François Rainville, Subaru des Sources, Fondation Tenaquip, Quartier OneWest, and many others whose contributions helped make the record-setting fundraiser possible.
The breakfast also highlighted the longstanding partnership between the Foundation and ABOVAS.
“ABOVAS and the CLSC Foundation have long worked together to support West Island residents in vulnerable situations,” said Denise Hupé, Executive Director of ABOVAS. “This event is not only delicious, but it also helps this entirely volunteer-run Foundation continue its essential work.”

For Foundation volunteers, the event demonstrated the strength of a community that continues to rally around its most vulnerable residents. For Brasserie Le Manoir, it was another opportunity to give back to the community it has served for decades.
