Annual Lakeshore General Hospital Foundation Ball raises $630,452 for Emergency Department.

The Lakeshore General Hospital Foundation put on the 21st edition of the Lakeshore Ball on October 14th to raise funds for the hospital's emergency department.

The 400-guest soirée, set to the theme of The Greatest Showman, raised $630,452, which will contribute to upcoming ER additions and renovations. A new modular unit will arrive in a few months, and a new Emergency Department is expected to be brought to fruition in the next few years.

The event held at Jardin Royalmount offered guests a four-course meal, an open bar, musical performances, and a silent auction.

"The future of the Lakeshore General Hospital is extremely bright," says Foundation Managing Director Nathalie Kamel. "We cannot thank our community enough for the support it has shown us through participation in this event."

The mission of the Foundation, which was established in 1964, is to raise the money required to enhance patient care at Lakeshore General Hospital. By providing funds to initiatives that the government does not sponsor, it assists in the procurement of cutting-edge equipment and major structural modifications. It also supports programs and specialized training for the professional staff.

The Foundation, Ball Co-Chairs Sharon Beaumont and Delia So, and the Ball Committee would like to thank the event's Lead Sponsor, The Gloria Baylis Foundation, and its Platinum Sponsors Desjardins, Caisse de l'Ouest-de-l'ÃŽle, The Rubin & So Foundation and Total Events.
