Alfred Molina will take on the role of Chief Inspector Armand Gamache in Amazon and Left Bank Pictures’ new series, “Three Pines.”

The “Spider-Man 2” star plays the much-beloved detective investigating a series of murders in a picturesque Canadian village. Clare Coulter (“I, Daniel Blake”), Anna Tierney (“Deceit”) and Rossif Sutherland (“River”) also co-star.

The original drama series “Three Pines” from Amazon Prime Video and Left Bank Pictures is filming now! Based on author Louise Penny’s #1 New York Timesbestselling novels, the series will star Alfred Molina as Chief Inspector Armand Gamache of the Sûreté du Québec, a man who sees things that others do not: the light between the cracks, the mythic in the mundane, and the evil in the seemingly ordinary. As he investigates a spate of murders in Three Pines, a seemingly idyllic village, he discovers long buried secrets and faces a few of his own ghosts.

I really enjoyed this series. Alfred Molina was just perfect in the role, and seeing they filmed around spots like Morgan Arboretum makes me appreciate it even more. Honestly, if it ever ends up getting a second life on HBO Max https://hbo-max.pissedconsumer.com/customer-service.html , I’d rewatch the whole thing — the atmosphere and storytelling were just that good.
