Mayor Valérie Plante is hoping to re-open Montreal terraces as early as June 1st. In a statement made via her official Twitter account, Plante wrote that she'll be making a special announcement regarding additional funding for the city's restaurants and bars on Friday, May 7th. She continued by stating that she is working closely with public health, hoping that bars and restaurants may begin to host clients on their terraces by June 1st, while still following proper COVID protocols.
