West Island Saint-Jean celebrations 2023.

If you're looking to celebrate la Fête Nationale, here are some West Island festivities from June 23rd-24th.

Beaconsfield:

WHEN? Saturday, June 24th, from 12:00 - 5:00 p.m.



WHAT?

  • Youth art exhibition from 12 to 5 p.m

  • Protocol ceremony 12:30 p.m.

  • Tea Times 12:00, 1:00 & 2:30 p.m.

  • Circus workshops at 12:30, 2:00, and 3:30 p.m.

  • Hula Hoop Workshops at 1:00, 2:30, and 4:00 p.m.

  • Musical performances by Andréanne Martin at 1:00, 3:00, 4:30 p.m.

  • The GoldenCrust Family Show at 2 p.m.

  • Jigged Improvisation Show at 3:30 p.m.

  • Throughout the event: Inflatable games • Face paint ($) • Éducazoo • Climbing wall • Entertainers • Scientific workshops • Community kiosks • Cotton candy and popcorn ($) • Food Trucks: Décarie Hot Dog, Nick & Neall’s Pizza Company., Simple&Sweet ($) • Library Corner.

**Heritage Days free parking permits are available to residents aged 65+ years for the City's upcoming Heritage Days celebrations. These permits will allow you to park closer to the sites of the celebrations. Dollard-des-Ormeaux:

WHEN? Friday, June 23rd, 6:00 to 10:00 p.m. Rain date: June 24th (fireworks at 10 p.m.)



WHAT? Inflatable games, airbrush tattoos, sports, a photo booth, a mini farm, and many other family-friendly activities.


Dorval:

WHEN? Saturday, June 24th, from 12:00 to 10:30 p.m.


The City of Dorval will provide a free shuttle service to citizens. The shuttle's stops will be at:

For the duration of the event, shuttles will stop at these four locations every 30 minutes. They will also run this circuit regularly to allow attendees to return to their initial stop point.


WHAT?

  • Noon to 6 p.m. Outdoor activities, roaming entertainment, inflatable games, temporary tattoos, caricaturists, and more.

  • 2 p.m. Clown show with M. Gazon

  • 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. Escape games

  • 3 p.m. Musical performance by Dany Pouliot

  • 5 p.m. Opening ceremony

  • 5:30 p.m. FML family wrestling show

  • 6:30 p.m. Studio de danse Imperium show

  • 7:15 p.m. Juste une p’tite nuite (Colocs tribute-show)

  • 8:45 p.m. Musical show "Les Derniers Patriotes" (a tribute to Quebec songs)

  • 10:15 p.m. Fireworks

Food trucks and local associations will be on-site to offer food and non-alcoholic beverages during the event. In case of uncertain weather, please consult the City's website for the planned activities.


L’Île-Bizard-Sainte-Geneviève

WHEN? Friday, June 23rd, from 5:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.


WHERE? Parc Eugène-Dostie. (Montée de l'Église will be closed between 4 p.m. and midnight, from rue Cherrier to boulevard Chèvremont.)


WHAT?

  • Inflatable structures and face painting

  • Caravane Taz and graffiti workshop by AJOI: Explore the world of graffiti art with the Caravane Taz and participate in a workshop led by AJOI.

  • Family shows

  • Animation booths

  • Food court by IGA

  • On-site beer sales

Evening Schedule:

  • 7:30 p.m.: Enjoy a performance by Studio de Danse Imperium.

  • 8 p.m.: Get ready for an incredible show by RAFFY, a talented artist.

  • At 10 p.m., there will be a fireworks display.

In case of heavy rain, the event will be canceled. Please note that no outside animals, glass containers, or alcoholic beverages will be allowed on-site.


Notre-Dame-de-L’Île-Perrot

WHEN? The festivities will occur on Friday, June 23rd, starting at 2:00 p.m. and continuing until 11:00 p.m.


WHERE? The event will be held at Parc des Citoyens, at the corner of Boulevard Don-Quichotte and Rue des Rosiers.


WHAT?

  • 2-6 p.m. Inflatable games, strolling artists, face-painting workshops, balloon-making, juggling, and street art for the whole family. Free popcorn and cotton candy will be served.

  • 7 p.m. Musical performance by Pete Fortier, a rising Quebec star.

  • 8 p.m: Steve Provost; Quebec folklore music

  • 10 p.m: Fireworks


Pointe-Claire

WHEN? Saturday, June 24th, from 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. **postponed to rain date on Sunday, June 25th**.


WHERE? Parc Alexandre-Bourgeau and the Pointe-Claire Village.


WHAT? The festivities kick off at 2 p.m. with a range of activities for all ages. There will be inflatables, professional face painting, Art in the Park with Stewart Hall, a reading tent hosted by the Pointe-Claire Library, and much more.

  • 3 p.m. Circus performance

  • 4-7 p.m. Circus workshop

  • 5 p.m. Magician show

  • 8 p.m. The group L'Arsenal will entertain the crowd with a musical performance.

  • 10:10 p.m. Fireworks and bells of Saint-Joachim: The celebrations will culminate with a fireworks display off a barge on Lac Saint-Louis.

Green Challenge: As part of the Fête Nationale du Québec, Pointe-Claire is organizing a Green Challenge. Participants are encouraged to travel to the festivities using active or public transportation. The first 100 people who provide proof of using these modes of transportation will have a chance to enter a prize draw. Visit the information booth for more details and your opportunity to win.

Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue

WHEN? Friday, June 23rd, beginning at 6:00 p.m.


WHERE? City Hall Parking Lot, 109 Rue Ste-Anne, Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue.


WHAT? The program includes a special musical performance called "Kébek Muse" featuring two former members of the group Harmonium, Serge Locat and Libert Subirana. They will be joined by three highly skilled musicians to take you on a musical journey through the era of Quebec's francophone music from the 70s. The Baravan will also be present at the event, offering a variety of alcoholic beverages and mocktails for purchase ($)


Vaudreuil-Dorion:

​​WHEN? Saturday, June 24th, 8:00 to 11:00 p.m.


WHERE? Rue Jeannotte, avenue Saint-Charles will be closed to traffic between Rue Jeannotte and Chemin Paul-Gérin-Lajoie.


WHAT?

  • At 8 p.m., the group Vibes & Taxis will perform,

  • Fireworks will go off at 10 p.m.,

  • The traditional/folk music group Le Vent du Nord will perform at 10:30 p.m.
