Following a fire that occurred on Tuesday morning, Walmart Vaudreuil-Dorion has announced the indefinite closure of its 3050 Bd. de la Gare store via its social media platforms.
Firefighters responded to the incident around 9:30 a.m., swiftly containing the blaze that originated in the household products section. Approximately 30 firefighters, with assistance from neighboring brigades, managed the situation.
The Sûreté du Québec is investigating the cause, which appears to be potentially suspicious and criminal after the discovery of unspecified elements on-site. No injuries have been reported, though one individual experienced smoke inhalation but did not require hospitalization, according to police spokesperson Louis-Philippe Ruel.
