The Lucien-L'Allier station will be closed for significant repairs starting April 1, 2024. A full reopening is anticipated for the summer of 2025, with a partial reopening scheduled for this fall. L'Allier is the busiest station along the network and a terminal for 3 Exo train lines: 11-Vaudreuil/Hudson, 12-Saint-Jérôme and 14-Candiac.

Trains on line 11 will end at Vendôme station as of April 1, 2024. Users can take the metro from the Vendôme station along the orange line to their destination. Line 11 Vaudreuil/Hudson trains will resume service to Lucien-L'Allier in the fall of 2024.

Rebuilding the station's four platforms, which have reached the end of their useful lives, will be one of the tasks involved. Other work includes:

  • Updating infrastructure and systems to meet standards.

  • Updating signage inside and outside the station.

  • Extending line 6.

  • Installing a canopy to protect customers from bad weather and;

  • Installing emergency exits to ensure access to the site.

Honestly though, that new canopy they’re installing will be an absolute lifesaver during the winter. Dealing with sudden transit route changes is always stressful, whether it's local trains or big flights. It actually reminds me of a travel issue my brother had recently, I ended up sending him https://help-center.pissedconsumer.com/a-family-denied-boarding-got-a-full-refund/ when his airline completely messed up his itinerary. I guess I'll just have to download some extra podcasts for the extended metro ride until the station repairs are finally finished.
