Blue Organization mobilizes teams of divers along Québec shorelines to clean up garbage and debris that would otherwise pollute local waters. A team of 20 volunteers and the organization's founder, Marine Biologist Anne-Marie Asselin, conducted a shoreline cleanup at Edgewater Park in Pointe-Claire. Divers went underwater and retrieved tires, plastic bottles, rusted metal rods, and other discarded debris from Lac Saint-Louis. A team cleaned up the park's green space, and waste found on the grounds was removed.
Anne-Marie and her team have been cleaning up waterways and green spaces across Québec since 2018, intending to promote environmental awareness. Do you wish to volunteer at their next event? Visit their website for more information: https://www.organisationbleue.org/the-organization
