BREAKING: Ghosting your dinner date just got expensive… even if your date is a steak frites.
Starting July 17, Quebec restaurants can legally charge you up to $10 per person if you ghost your reservation without cancelling. That’s right—your no-show could cost you the price of a decent glass of wine… minus the wine, minus the glass, minus the dignity. 😬🍷
Here’s how it works (don’t worry, it’s not a scam—this one’s from the Consumer Protection Act 🧑⚖️):
✅ The restaurant must tell you in advance about the fee.
✅ The reso must be for at least two people (so solo diners, you’re still off the hook… for now).
✅ They have to confirm with you 6 to 48 hours before your booking.
✅ You can cancel easily and at any time (translation: you’re not locked in like it’s a gym contract).
BUT… if no one shows and you didn’t cancel at least 3 hours in advance, that’s a spicy $10 meatball 💸🍝

Moral of the story? If you’re gonna flake, cancel the reso. Or at least send someone in your place to order breadsticks and pretend to wait for you. 😅🍞
Even when I don’t win, I enjoy playing. The games are well-designed and fair. It’s great entertainment. situs bolagila

$10 isn’t outrageous—it’s more like a deterrent than a punishment. Plus, they give you plenty of notice and flexibility to cancel. Way less frustrating than missing that one jump in Geometry Dash Lite because you blinked at the wrong time.
