On Wednesday, February 16th, Brian Harelimana & Kerfalla Exumé of the Montreal Canadiens paid a visit to the grade 7 and 8 students of Beaconsfield High School.
From 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm, students had the chance to speak with the players about the black experience, Black History Month, and their personal encounters with racism.
The overarching themes of the talk were perseverance, maintaining a positive attitude through life's challenges, and knowing there is always a solution to the difficulties at hand, much like the game of football.
The presentation was followed by a question period where students had the opportunity to chat with the players directly.
