The season of holiday markets officially begins with one of the West Island’s most anticipated traditions — the DDO Fine Arts and Crafts Holiday Market, presented by the Dollard Centre for the Arts (DCA). Returning for its 40th year, this long-running event will take place on Saturday, November 8 and Sunday, November 9, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Dollard-des-Ormeaux Civic Centre.
This year’s edition promises an unforgettable weekend filled with fine arts, exceptional crafts, food, music, and holiday cheer. With more than 80 artisans and artists spread across two floors, the market offers visitors a one-of-a-kind shopping experience — a perfect way to start your holiday season early.
🖼️ A Celebration of Creativity and Community
The DDO Holiday Market is more than just a shopping destination; it’s a celebration of creativity, connection, and community. Visitors will find innovative, original, and authentic handmade creations from both new and returning artisans. Expect a dazzling variety — from pottery, woodworking, jewellery, and knitwear to candles, textiles, body care, and gourmet foods.
With three themed spaces — Hall-iday Cheer, The Neighbour’s Nook, and Curio Court — plus the Artists’ Association of Dollard’s Annual Exhibition and Sale, there’s something to discover around every corner.
Guests can also indulge in fresh gourmet coffee from Lucia Maison de Café, healthy bites from Palépops, and festive drinks at the Twinkle Terrace rooftop bar, where MTL Craft Cocktails will serve custom holiday-themed beverages.
🎅 Fun for All Ages
For younger visitors, the DDO Library will host a Create-a-Card activity — where kids can make a card for a loved one, write a letter to Santa, or craft a card of kindness for seniors and hospital patients.
Meanwhile, adults can enjoy live hosting by comedian James Mancini, who will emcee throughout the weekend and announce hourly raffle winners.
The market also embraces the spirit of giving — visitors are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items or wrapped gifts for the West Island Mission, while members of the Canadian Legion will be onsite collecting donations and handing out poppies.
🌟 A Beloved Local Tradition
“The DDO Holiday Market is about connection, celebration, and yes — a little bit of magic,” says Megan Bradley, Special Events Coordinator at the DCA. “It’s a reminder of what this time of year is all about: giving, community, and gratitude. We’re deeply thankful for everyone who walks through our doors and chooses to support local.”
With a waitlist of eager artisans each year, this event remains one of the most admired and well-curated holiday markets in Greater Montreal, drawing thousands of visitors who come to experience its unique blend of art, food, and festivity.
