Pointe-Claire — One of the West Island’s most anticipated community fundraisers is back this spring, as the 11th annual Empty Bowls (Bols du partage) event is set to take place on Saturday, May 3, 2026.

This year’s edition will run from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and will be held at a new venue: the Baie-de-Valois Nautical Centre, located at 90 Bord-du-Lac-Lakeshore Road in Pointe-Claire.

A longtime favourite in the community, Empty Bowls brings residents together in support of local food security initiatives. The event typically invites participants to share a simple meal while raising funds and awareness for those facing food insecurity.

Organizers say the move to the waterfront location offers a fresh setting for the event while maintaining its core mission of community solidarity and giving back.

Now in its 11th year, the fundraiser has grown into a well-attended annual tradition, drawing families, volunteers and local supporters from across the West Island.

Residents are encouraged to mark their calendars and take part in the event, which continues to play an important role in supporting vulnerable members of the community.
