Construction work is taking place to replace a section of the de la Savane St. overpass and install a pedestrian overpass to the Royalmount development.
As a result, the Décarie Expressway southbound will be closed from Highway 40 to the entrance from Jean-Talon St. over the weekend, from 11:59 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, along with the de la Savane St. overpass. In addition, the entire expressway will be closed between the Turcot and Décarie interchanges from 12 a.m. to 6 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday for northbound traffic, with some ramps closing as early as 10 p.m. Décarie Blvd. will also be closed overnights in both directions between de la Savane St./Royalmount Ave. and Côte-de-Liesse Rd. The overnight closures are for the installation of the pedestrian overpass linking the de la Savane métro station with Carbonleo’s Royalmount development across the highway. Detours will be marked, but drivers are advised to avoid the area if possible.
