Maison Caracol, the first community-based social pediatrics center in the West Island of Montreal, is proud to announce the first edition of its fundraising show entitled “A Roof Under The Stars”. It invites the population to support their cause by attending this event scheduled for September 24, 2024, at the Pauline-Julien Theater, Sainte-Geneviève.
“I am honored to be associated with this noble cause where I was able to witness the deep humanity that drives each of their actions,” said Serge Poirier, general manager of Caisse Desjardins de l’Ouest-de-l’Île and honorary president of this show which will feature renowned artists including talented pianist and singer Florence K, winner of La Voix 2018 Yama Laurent, legendary rock group The Box as well as several guest artists. With exceptional performances and inspiring testimonials, this evening promises to be an unforgettable experience for all participants.
“A Roof Under the Stars” is much more than just a show. It is a celebration of solidarity, hope and generosity, offering everyone the opportunity to contribute to a valuable cause while having an exceptional time of fun. The funds collected will allow Maison Caracol to continue its vital and essential mission. “In a safe and warm environment, and with quality services, together, we can change the lives of our children and offer them a better future,” declared Claire Legault, founder and general director of Maison Caracol.
In order to better serve the neediest children of the community, Maison Caracol relocated to a single-family home. This new facility makes it possible to provide medical care, professional services and global development activities annually, while providing its specialists with premises conducive to providing optimal quality services. It is necessary to carry out renovation and transformation work so that this residential house complies with the standards of a public building and can have premises for workshops offered to children and parents. In addition, the courtyard will be designed to guarantee everyone's safety and provide spaces conducive to the physical and social development.
