All foreign travellers entering Canada must be tested for COVID-19 with exception of US citizens

Federal ministers are expected to present an update and new measures to combat the variant described as "a concern" by the WHO.

Several cases of the Omicron variant have already been detected across the country, including at least one in Quebec.

On Friday, the Trudeau government announced the ban on travelers from several countries in southern Africa. Canadians returning from this region must undergo several tests and isolate themselves upon their return home.
