Safe exchange zones set up by SPVM for online purchases.

According to the Service de Police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM), there is now a safe-exchange zone available around the clock at the Poste de Quartier 1 (at 2883 boul. Saint-Charles in Kirkland). The area is monitored by cameras and is right in front of the station.

This is an area for transactions from online marketplaces related to buying or selling goods.

By providing a monitored area, this zone seeks to protect transactions and make it easier for buyers and sellers to meet. There are also these stations in Dollard-des-Ormeaux – PDQ 4 – 4139, boulevard des Sources, and Pierrefonds-Roxboro – PDQ 3 – 14 680, boulevard de Pierrefonds. The SPVM website has a comprehensive list of safe-exchange zones and advises users to be cautious with online deals.
