Highway 40 Eastbound closed this weekend

The ministère des Transports wishes to inform road users that Highway 40 Eastbound will be closed between Boulevard des Anciens-Combattants and Chemin des Pins during the weekend of September 16. This closure is required as part of ongoing repairs to the Chemin des Pins overpass and may occur again over the next few weekends.


Obstacles and traffic management for Highway 40 (Félix-Leclerc) Eastbound:

  • Highway 40 East, in Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue, will be subject to a complete closure during the weekend of September 16, 2022.

  • There will be a complete closure between Exit #41 - Ste-Anne-de-Bellevue / Boul. des Anciens-Combattants and the next entrance, from Friday at 11:59 PM to Monday morning at 5:00 AM.

Traffic will be diverted to the service road, and a risk of congestion is expected.

Partial closures are expected at night on the service road. As a result, only one lane will be available in the work area.

Reminder (until December 2022):

  • There is a long-term complete closure of Pine Road between Poultry Cottages Street and chemin Sainte-Marie .

  • Local traffic is allowed between Euclide-Lavigne Street and chemin Sainte-Marie.

In the event of adverse weather conditions or operational constraints, this restriction may be postponed.


This project is included in the list of road investments for 2022-2024 in the Montréal region.
