🚨 **Car Fire on Hastings Avenue, Pointe-Claire – Investigation Underway** 🚨
Early this morning, a vehicle was set ablaze in the driveway of a home on Hastings Avenue near Empress Avenue in Pointe-Claire. The Montreal police (SPVM) have launched an investigation into the incident.
📞 Around 2:40 a.m., multiple 911 calls reported a car engulfed in flames. Firefighters arrived quickly and managed to extinguish the blaze, but the vehicle was completely destroyed.
🔍 The SPVM's arson unit is now handling the case to determine what caused the fire.
This incident follows a troubling trend: earlier this week, three suspicious vehicle fires occurred in Dollard-Des-Ormeaux, and over the summer and fall, similar cases were reported in Kirkland. These attacks, targeting vehicles parked in residential driveways, are raising concerns across the West Island.
