The vaccination campaign transitions to a new phase in the West Island; closure of certain mass vaccination sites.

The COVID-19 vaccination campaign has reached a new phase!

The focus will shift to back-to-school and community vaccination blitzes as we get ready to tackle the 4th wave of the pandemic.

More than 71% of West Islanders have received their first dose.

After 6 months of intense activity, we are announcing the closure of two mass vaccination sites on our territory effective September 5, namely the site at the Bob-Birnie Arena in Pointe-Claire and the one at the Dollard-des-Ormeaux Civic Centre in DDO.

More than 150,000 vaccines have been administered in these two locations that will remain etched in our memories. As we ready for the final stretch of the campaign, we will be adapting our vaccination efforts and focussing on schools and pop-up clinics in an effort to reach those who are not yet fully vaccinated.

The vaccination sites located in the Dollard-Saint-Laurent Arena and the Gerry-Robertson Community Centre, as well as the Drive-Thru vaccination site, will remain open and we encourage anyone who is not adequately vaccinated, to do so as soon as possible.
